When
Loss of Light Can Mean Loss of Life,
The PODLight is an Essential New Personal Safety Tool for Winter
Driving.
SYRACUSE,
NY--January 22, 2006 -- The PODLight®, a new cordless, rechargeable
LED worklight, flashlight and emergency safety strobe light,
is an essential tool for safer winter driving.
If
a car is immobilized, the PODLight¹s emergency strobe light
can flash a highly visible, ultra bright white light for 48
hours when totally unplugged and for up to ten days working
off a car battery. The PODLight® can be instantly, magnetically
mounted on the car door or roof, to signal for help while the
driver remains within the shelter of the vehicle.
Because
it has a repositionable collar with a strong magnet, as well
as a rotating hook for hanging, the PODLight® offers hands free
convenience as a worklight, providing illumination for digging
out of snow banks, changing a tire at night, or jump-starting
a balky car battery.
Its
durable housing is highly weather resistant, so the PODLight®
works in even the worst winter weather. It¹s engineered for
impact resistance so the LED bulbs don¹t shatter or fail when
the PODLight is dropped on hard road surfaces, ice or rock.
The PODLight® can stay plugged into a car lighter, for continuous
emergency preparedness, without draining the car battery. Just
a few hours of charging at home or in the car results in 8 hours
of cordless worklight, 12 hours of cordless flashlight, or 48
hours of unplugged emergency flashing before recharging is needed.
The PODLight® may also be used while connected to a power source.
Its bulbs are expected to last 100,000 hours.
The PODLight® comes with two chargers, a DC charger that plugs
into a car lighter and an AC charger that plugs into a wall
outlet. An additional tabletop charger is available as an accessory.
The PODLight®, which is covered by a two year limited warranty,
may be purchased online at http://www.thepodlight.com. It will
also be sold at auto supply, hardware, and a variety of retail
stores across North America.
